Dangal TV’s upcoming show Bade Ghar Ki Chhoti Bahu is all set to release across platforms. The show that is Rooted in traditional Indian values, the show presents a compelling narrative about a young woman’s aspiration to pursue education—an ambition that is often overlooked in favor of marriage and household responsibilities
The story follows Ahana Roy, played by Sonal Khilwani, who enters her marital home with the hope of continuing her higher education. However, she is soon faced with the expectations of her in-laws, who expect her to focus solely on household duties and embrace the role of a dutiful wife and daughter-in-law
Sonal Khilwani shares, “ Ahana is a character that represents so many women in our society—those who have dreams beyond marriage. I feel privileged to bring her journey to life and hope it inspires families to see education as a shared goal, not a sacrifice .”
In contrast to Ahana’s progressive mindset, Arjun Sen, played by Adhik Mehta, finds himself caught between preserving family traditions and supporting his wife’s dreams
Adhik Mehta reflects, “ Arjun stands at the crossroads of tradition and change. Portraying this character has been an enriching experience, and I’m glad to see that the promo has already struck a chord with the audience. I truly hope it sparks meaningful conversations within families .”
The show also stars Anita Kulkarni as Durga Devi, who is strict and follows patriarchal traditions, and Ritu Chauhan in a key role, adding further depth to the family drama
